Formally known as ANTS Landfill aftercare, in 2011 ANTS diversified its operations to exploit the opportunities in the growing renewable energy sector specifically ground source systems and between 2011 and 2015 was successful in closing key strategic business contracts in both sectors leading to rapid growth for the company.

By 2016 ANTS had also established a Civils division to further exploit is specialist construction and groundwork skills in the burgeoning construction sector.

In 2017 an opportunity arose to acquire a major drilling company, broadening the breadth and depth of the company’s’ operations in both the Landfill/waste management and geothermal sectors. Further recent acquisitions (2022) in the geothermal Drilling sector have consolidated ANTS Drilling as (one of) the leading operators in this sector and the only company that can offer the full range of service into this market.
